For remote proctoring providers and the testing programs that use them — independent review of identity checks, proctoring, technology, privacy, incident handling and human oversight.

REA is designed for organizations that materially operate remote-proctored examinations — including live, record-and-review and AI-assisted models — and need independent review of the delivery controls themselves.
Identity, proctors, technology, privacy, incidents and continuity.
Integrity governance across the consequential assessment system.
Credential governance, psychometrics, eligibility and certification decisions.
Course design, delivery, assessment and completion.
Scope is explicit. Accreditation applies only to the defined remote-examination administration service and operating functions approved in the CHSPS record.
Identity verification, proctoring operations, technology controls, accommodations, interruptions, escalation and operating records.
The examination environments, technologies, delivery models and operating functions specifically approved during scope confirmation.
Exam content itself, certification decisions, candidates, unrelated testing products or the provider organization as a whole.
Edition 2026.1. Continuous eligibility intake. Accreditation term: 3 years.
REA looks at the remote exam operation end to end — not only whether a proctoring platform has policies on paper.
Accountability, delivery risk assessment and management oversight.
System checks, communication, technical requirements and pre-exam support.
Remote identity verification, exceptions and escalation.
Workspace checks, permitted materials and privacy-sensitive controls.
Selection, training, calibration, monitoring and quality review.
Platform reliability, device compatibility, latency and data capture.
Recording, retention, consent, data access and cross-border considerations.
Accommodation compatibility and equivalent remote conditions.
Disconnections, suspected misconduct, interruptions and restart rules.
Review of automated flags and limits on automated adverse decisions.
Failover, rescheduling, emergency communication and recovery.
Operational quality, fairness signals, complaints and improvement.
Technical review combines documents with source evidence, interviews, demonstrations and end-to-end tracers.
The free review confirms the pathway and proposed scope before CHSPS starts a paid engagement.
No fee and no commitment.
Application fee after scope confirmation and signed agreement.
Review balance when evidence is submitted.
REA follows the same independent seven-stage accreditation architecture used across CHSPS pathways.
Confirm REA fit and proposed operating scope.
Receive written scope confirmation and execute the applicant agreement.

Conflict-screened reviewers evaluate CORE-100 + REA-220 evidence.
Resolve findings and provide corrective evidence where required.
A separate decision body determines accreditation status.
Approved scope, dates and status become publicly verifiable.
Independent review focused on the controls that make remote examination delivery defensible when reliability, fairness or integrity is challenged.
External evaluation of the controls behind consequential remote examination administration.
Review of where automated monitoring ends and accountable human judgment begins.
Review of interruptions, rescheduling, continuity, recovery and candidate-protection controls.
A CHSPS record identifying the exact accredited remote-exam administration scope and current status.

REA remains a continuing relationship throughout the three-year term. ACC-109 governs the common maintenance cycle.

Keep technical transparency available without making every accreditation buyer read the measure system before understanding the engagement.
CHSPS reference criteria are controlled technical references, not observed industry averages and not automatic accreditation thresholds unless a normative standard expressly incorporates them.
Candidates completing required system readiness before the test window.
Remote identity exceptions per 1,000 administrations.
Remote exams materially disrupted by technology.
Active proctors current on required calibration.
Required human review completed before an adverse integrity decision.
Materially interrupted administrations resolved within one business day.
The controlled standard remains authoritative for clause-level requirements, evidence expectations and review interpretation.
CHSPS education is optional, separately operated and has no influence on accreditation findings or decisions.

See webinars$5,500 for the initial specialty review: the $1,250 application fee when you sign the applicant agreement, then the $4,250 review balance when you submit evidence. After that, $1,500 a year and a $3,500 renewal review every 3 years. A concurrent additional specialty scope in the same organization is $2,750. The eligibility review is free.
The free eligibility review targets a written outcome within 10 business days after a complete inquiry. CHSPS does not publish a single planning target for this pathway; the review timeline is stated in writing at scope confirmation, before you pay anything.
Nothing to upload. Step 1 asks only for your name, email and organization; the rest of the form covers scope, operating status and readiness, in about 5 minutes. Formal evidence comes after the agreement is signed: remote-exam controls, records, logs and performance evidence.

Every eligibility review ends in a written outcome: Eligible, Potentially Eligible — Additional Information Required, or Not Eligible, with the specific thresholds not yet met. There is no charge for the review, and if a different CHSPS pathway fits better, the review says so.
Confirm whether REA is the right specialty pathway and what remote-exam administration scope would be reviewed before any paid application step.
