Current Standards & Program Status

This page identifies the CHSPS programs and defined offerings that are currently active, the standard that governs each code, and the effective edition in force. It does not establish whether a particular organization is accredited.

How to use this record

Program status and accreditation status are not the same thing.

Program status answers whether CHSPS currently operates a particular accreditation pathway or defined offering and which controlled standard applies. Accreditation status answers whether a specific organization, program or system holds a current CHSPS accreditation decision.

Use this page to confirm the CHSPS route and governing standard. Use the public verification record when you need to establish the status or exact scope of an accredited organization.

This page establishes

Current CHSPS program codes, classification, governing standard, effective edition and intake availability.

This page does not establish

That a named organization is accredited, that every offering of an accredited organization is in scope, or that any individual person is accredited by CHSPS.

Status terminology

What “active — continuous intake” means

Active

The CHSPS pathway or defined offering is current under Edition 2026.1 and has a current published governing standard.

Continuous intake

Eligibility and scope inquiries may be submitted year-round rather than through a fixed annual application window.

Formal application gate

Formal application follows written eligibility and scope confirmation. An active pathway does not create automatic formal-application access or an accreditation decision.

Current portfolio register

Sixteen active program codes under Edition 2026.1

The 16 active codes are not one flat category. Eleven are accreditation pathways: five general and six specialty. Five are defined offering standards. Every row below is current and effective August 19, 2026.

Reading the register. The code identifies the CHSPS route. The governing-standard column identifies the current controlled document. The status column identifies the availability of the CHSPS offering, not the accreditation status of a particular applicant or organization.
Current controlled standards set

Seventeen normative documents support the sixteen active codes.

Shared core + program standards

CHSPS-CORE-100 supplies common requirements across governance, evidence, impartiality, claims and lifecycle controls. Each active program code is then governed by its own current program or defined-offering standard.

Where the current requirement lives

The Standards Registry is the controlling public index for the current normative documents. Program Status tells you which route is active; the registry tells you which controlled standard governs that route.

Checking a program and verifying an organization are different tasks.

If you need to determine which CHSPS pathway applies to your organization, compare the program routes or begin an eligibility and scope inquiry. If you need to establish whether another organization is accredited, use Verify Accreditation instead.
