Fees & Payment

Published as the CHSPS Fee Schedule 2026.1. Eligibility review remains free. Accreditation fees begin only after eligibility and scope confirmation, execution of the applicant agreement and issuance of the applicable invoice.

Eligibility review is free. You pay nothing until eligibility is confirmed and an agreement is signed.

Budget planningBudget planning and internal approvals

The fee visual clarifies sequencing: first confirm fit, then budget the pathway. No formal fee is due for a free eligibility inquiry.

See how fees appear in the account. Application fees, evidence-submission balances, annual accreditation fees, change reviews and reaccreditation fees are shown as separate billing records tied to the applicable accreditation record. Preview an accreditation invoice.

What accreditation costs, by pathway

Three numbers per pathway: getting accredited, keeping it each year, and renewing at the end of the term. The application fee is credited toward — not added to — the initial review total, and the eligibility check before all of this is free.

Figures are the published Fee Schedule 2026.1 base rates for a single program or scope. Multi-program portfolios, defined-offering SKUs and supplemental items are in the full tables below. No fee at any stage purchases or influences an outcome.

Status: published and current. Fee Schedule 2026.1 establishes the charges used for active accreditation engagements. Fees become billable only after an applicant-specific agreement is executed and CHSPS issues the applicable invoice. Free eligibility inquiries remain $0.

How CHSPS charges: nothing until you know you qualify. The eligibility review is free; the application fee starts a signed engagement; the review fee is invoiced only when your evidence is submitted. No fee at any stage purchases an outcome.

The specialty fee schedule applies to HSAI-210, REA-220, MSS-310, WCA-410, CEQ-510 and AIG-610. Scope complexity that materially exceeds the published pathway assumptions is addressed before agreement execution rather than through undisclosed charges after review begins.

Several programs or courses? Portfolio pricing applies: the Core review is charged once, additional certification programs are $2,500 each, coordinated course volumes step down ($1,200 → $950, EDP recommended at 10+), concurrent second general pathways get 15% off; concurrent specialty scopes use the published concurrent specialty rate, and course annual fees cap at $3,150 per organization (equivalent to 9 courses at the standard annual per-course rate). Portfolio billing

Multiple programs or legal entities

Accreditation charges are invoiced from the My CHSPS engagement record, not placed in the public retail cart. A portfolio account can nevertheless support central payment, entity-specific payment, separate purchase orders/cost centers, or a mixed billing model.

One legal entity, several programs

Published coordinated-review and additional-program pricing applies where the Fee Schedule says it applies. CHSPS confirms the portfolio structure during eligibility and scope review.

Several related legal entities

Each applicant entity retains its own engagement and invoice basis. A parent or shared-services payer may pay on the entity’s behalf; that does not transfer accreditation or change the applicant.

One payment, separate allocations

The production billing system may allow several eligible invoices to be paid in one transaction while retaining separate invoice, receipt, PO and accreditation-record allocations.

Related legal entities are not automatically eligible for “same organization” discounts or Core-review credit solely because they share ownership. Any coordinated fee treatment is documented before agreement execution; undisclosed post-review surcharges are not part of the model.

Supplemental fees (all pathways)

Supplemental fees that may apply across pathways
ItemFeeNotes
Focused scope-change reviewFrom $900For a limited change within an already accredited program; adding a separate certification program uses the $2,500 additional-program fee instead
Material-change review$0–$1,500Applies to acknowledgment/focused material-change review; if a full pathway re-review is required, the applicable published pathway review fee governs
ReconsiderationFreeNo fee; reconsideration is always free
AppealFreeNo filing fee
On-site visit expenses (where required)At costPre-approved travel only; virtual review is the default
Late annual maintenance filing$150Applies after the 30-day cure period for an overdue annual report or annual maintenance obligation; does not compound daily.
Independent Accreditation Readiness Review (optional)$1,500Optional, non-consulting clause-to-evidence readiness review before formal application; performed by staff outside the review and decision lines, it does not pre-approve evidence, is not a prerequisite, and never influences an accreditation decision. Members: 10% education-services discount applies.
Official Accreditation Verification Letter$100Optional sealed letter confirming the current official record; ordered from the public verification page. Non-refundable once issued.
Administrative suspension reinstatement$250After the underlying administrative noncompliance is corrected and all properly due amounts are satisfied; technical suspensions may require a separate review instead.
Late renewal / expedited processing15% of renewal review fee (minimum $150)For a complete renewal first submitted fewer than 90 days before expiration. The fee covers expedited administrative/review work and does not purchase an extension or favorable decision.
Post-expiration reinstatement processing$500 + applicable renewal review feeAvailable only when CHSPS accepts a reinstatement request within 90 days after expiration. Status remains Expired until a new decision; no backdating.

What fees include

Coordinator support, portal access, the full review team, written findings, corrective-action re-checks for both permitted cycles, the decision, verification records, certificate and mark license.

What they don’t

Optional education (workshops, paid webinars), travel for on-site visits where required (billed at cost, pre-approved), and expedited scheduling if offered.

Payment terms

Invoices are net 30 unless the engagement schedule states otherwise; payment plans may be available for the comprehensive review fee. Fees already paid are non-refundable; stages CHSPS has not begun are not invoiced, so withdrawing before review begins does not create a further charge. Accredited programs receive the cure and status protections described in ACC-109. No fee is contingent on outcome, and a late or reinstatement fee never purchases continued accreditation.

Fee Schedule 2026.1 credits each pathway application fee against that pathway’s first substantive review charge: CERT $1,500 toward the $6,500 first-program review; EDP $950 toward the $3,900 system review; COURSE $400 toward the first $1,200 course review; ABC $650 toward the $2,500 first-program review; WBL $950 toward the $4,000 first-program review; and specialty $1,250 toward the $5,500 first specialty review. Fee Schedule 2026.1 is version-controlled; later fee revisions do not apply retroactively to an active engagement except as expressly permitted by the executed applicant agreement.

Quantitative operating targets for this function

These CHSPS reference criteria define the current operating and interpretation ranges for this function. They support consistent review and quality monitoring without replacing clause-level professional judgment.

CHSPS Reference Criteria 2026.1. These are CHSPS-adopted operating/reference criteria for consistent interpretation and quality monitoring. They are not empirical benchmarks, industry norms or automatic accreditation cutoffs unless a normative clause expressly incorporates a value. CHSPS will recalibrate them when sufficient validated operational data are available.
