Revision note — Edition 2026.2

Edition 2026.2 states the payment terms in the form in which they have been published since Edition 2026.1: payments for CHSPS education are non-refundable once paid. It makes two substantive changes. The account-credit remedy previously offered under Section 4 is withdrawn, because CHSPS does not operate an account balance; the remedies that remain — seat reassignment, reschedule, and a move to another scheduled offering — are the ones CHSPS actually performs. Section 3.4 is added to state that duplicate, erroneous and undelivered charges are corrected and that non-waivable consumer rights are unaffected. As stated at the foot of this document, substantive changes follow the published revision process and do not apply retroactively to enrollments already in flight.

Purpose

To state, before any payment is collected, the terms that govern enrollment in paid CHSPS education: payment, cancellation, non-refundable payments, substitutions, access, certificates, accommodations and conduct.

1. Scope

1.1 These terms govern paid CHSPS educational products where offered, including live workshops, paid webinars, on-demand courses and team training. Free offerings are governed only by Sections 7–10.

2. Enrollment and payment

2.1 A seat is confirmed when payment is received (or a purchase order is accepted for invoice-billed organizations). Invoices are due net 30.

2.2 Member pricing, when offered, is verified against the member roster at invoicing. The discount is the controlled rate published for the specific educational product; membership must be active on the session date.

3. Cancellation by the participant

3.1 Live-session payments are non-refundable once paid. A participant who cannot attend may reassign the seat under Section 5, or ask the education team to move the registration to another scheduled offering of the same product where one is scheduled and seats remain. No-shows are not refunded and retain replay access where offered.

3.2 On-demand course payments are non-refundable once access is issued. Access is issued on payment; the product page states the price, the length and what is included before payment is collected.

3.3 Team-training payments are non-refundable. One no-cost reschedule may be provided where the applicable written engagement terms permit it.

3.4 Duplicate charges, charges made in error, and charges for a product that was never delivered are corrected. Rights that applicable consumer law makes non-waivable are unaffected by this Section.

4. Cancellation or rescheduling by CHSPS

4.1 If CHSPS cancels or materially reschedules a session, the registration is moved to the rescheduled sitting, or to another scheduled offering of the participant’s choice, at no additional charge. Cash refunds are not provided except where required by applicable law. CHSPS is not responsible for participants’ travel or incidental costs.

4.2 If a session is interrupted by technical failure on CHSPS’s side for more than 25% of its scheduled time, CHSPS will rerun the session or provide the recording, and the registration remains valid for the rerun.

5. Substitutions and transfers

5.1 A seat may be reassigned to another person at no cost by the purchaser, in My CHSPS, at any time before the seat is used. Reassignment takes effect immediately and withdraws the previous holder’s access. Seats may not be resold.

5.2 CHSPS does not operate an account-credit or store-credit balance. Where these terms provide a remedy it is a reassignment, a reschedule, or a move to another offering — not a credit held on account.

6. Access and intellectual property

6.1 Live-session registrants receive replay access only when the product page or participant confirmation states that a recording is included; the access period is stated before enrollment. Materials are licensed for the registrant’s (or, for team products, the organization’s) internal use only; redistribution, resale or public posting is prohibited.

7. Certificates and CE status

7.1 Certificates of completion are issued when the published completion criteria for the product are met (for live sessions, joining within 10 minutes of start and attending in full; for workshops, both sessions plus the workbook exercise).

7.2 A CHSPS certificate of completion documents contact hours only. It is not a professional certification, and no external continuing-education credit is awarded unless a product page states it explicitly. Reissues are free.

8. Accessibility

8.1 Captioning is enabled on all live sessions and materials are provided in accessible formats. Additional accommodations are provided at no cost on requests made at least 5 business days before a session; later requests are met where practicable.

9. Conduct

9.1 Participants are expected to engage respectfully. CHSPS may remove a participant who is abusive or disruptive after a warning; removal under this clause does not create a refund right.

10. Impartiality

10.1 Participation in CHSPS education is voluntary and does not guarantee, predict, expedite or influence any accreditation outcome. Education personnel provide general instruction, not applicant-specific pre-approval, and reviewers do not receive participation records.

11. Questions and disputes

11.1 Billing or delivery concerns should be raised with the education team first; unresolved concerns may use the published CHSPS complaints process. Nothing in these terms limits rights that applicable consumer law makes non-waivable.

Accreditation impartiality firewall

CHSPS education is general education, not applicant-specific consulting. CHSPS education personnel shall not rewrite applicant policies, pre-approve evidence, score an applicant's readiness as a prediction of accreditation, or communicate an expected accreditation outcome. Technical reviewers and decision makers do not receive applicant education-purchase information except where an administrative conflict screen requires it. A person who provided applicant-specific consulting or material training support to an organization is not assigned to review or decide that organization's case during the applicable cooling-off period.
