CHSPS receives revenue from several sources. This article explains those sources and the governance controls that keep funding separate from standards, review and accreditation decisions.
The five streams
CHSPS funds its standards mission through accreditation fees, education, membership dues, sponsorship, and grants and other external funding. The governance rule is straightforward: funding does not purchase influence over standards, technical review or accreditation decisions.
Separation from accreditation decisions
Accreditation fees, education purchases, membership dues, sponsorships and grants do not affect eligibility determinations, review findings or accreditation decisions. Sponsor and member status is excluded from accreditation review files. Personnel involved in funding relationships are subject to conflict-of-interest and recusal controls, and funding conditioned on an accreditation outcome is not accepted.
Documented funding governance
External funding relationships are documented and subject to conflict review, separation controls and Board oversight under CHSPS-DEV-600. CHSPS does not publish a supporter roster. The full rules are published as a formal controlled document, CHSPS-DEV-600, alongside the Impartiality & Conflict of Interest Policy.
Why these controls are public
CHSPS publishes its funding-governance framework so external funding controls can be reviewed alongside its accreditation governance. CHSPS applies the same independence and conflict-management principles that its standards require within applicable accredited scopes.
