CHSPS Standards Edition 2026.1 Published; Applications Open Year-Round
CHSPS has published its Edition 2026.1 standards. Free eligibility inquiries are open, and formal applications are accepted on a continuous basis after fit and scope confirmation through the secure applicant workflow.
What is published
CHSPS has published Edition 2026.1 of CHSPS-CORE-100, CHSPS-CERT-200, CHSPS-EDP-300 and CHSPS-COURSE-400, together with CHSPS-ABC-250, CHSPS-WBL-450 and the six specialty accreditation standards of the same edition. These documents provide the clause-numbered controlled framework used for accreditation review, implementation and ongoing stakeholder feedback. A scheduled effective date of September 1, 2026 was shown in the documents as initially published. Update: Edition 2026.1 was approved by the CHSPS Standards Council on August 18, 2026 and became effective August 19, 2026; the Standards Registry is the authoritative record.
What is open now
Organizations may submit a free eligibility and scope inquiry at any time. An eligibility inquiry is not a formal accreditation application, creates no accredited status and does not authorize use of a CHSPS accreditation mark.
How formal intake works
Formal applications are accepted on a continuous basis after eligibility and scope confirmation. Eligible organizations proceed through the applicant workflow for agreement terms, evidence submission, reviewer communication and case tracking.
Specialty Accreditation Standards and Measures
CHSPS publishes six Edition 2026.1 specialty accreditation standards for high-stakes and safety-critical systems. Each is a formal application pathway used with CORE-100; applications are accepted continuously. CHSPS Measures, CPDS and VPD are published as controlled 2026.1 methodologies/specifications for measurement and validation.
Standing comment channel
Stakeholders may continue to submit structured comments on published standards and development initiatives through the public comment process. CHSPS publishes dispositions through its controlled standards-development process as comment cycles are completed.
